Novice, the emerald-eyed cat, knew the "Dream-Terror" that plagued his human, David. This time, it was worse than ever. He couldn't let David be devoured by nightmares. He squeezed his eyes shut, leaped, and found himself in a dark, twisted forest. David was trapped, pursued by shadowy figures.

Novice wasn't unarmed. He clutched a miniature cannon, a gift from David. His friends, Blue Lion the tabby with his trusty laser-pointer, RORO the calico with her catnip-laced grenades, and Jack the ginger with his slingshot, were ready.

Blue Lion's red beam disoriented the creatures. RORO's grenades created a cloud of confusion. Jack's projectiles caused the shadows to flinch. Novice aimed his cannon, firing a miniature cannonball that sent a blinding flash of light through the forest. The creatures shrieked, dissolving into shadows.

But their journey was far from over. The Dream-Terror was a vast, ever-shifting landscape, a tangled maze of twisted nightmares. They would have to travel through icy mountains, scorching deserts, and even a haunted library filled with whispering books. Novice knew they were in for a long and perilous adventure, but he was ready to face any challenge, to save his human.
